AKMU (AKMU, Lee Chan-hyuk·Lee Su-hyun)'s father Lee Seong-geun mentioned his daughter Lee Su-hyun's period of burnout.
On the 5th, the YouTube channel "Renew Me, CBS" featured AKMU's father, missionary Lee Seong-geun, who appeared and talked.
That day Joo Young-hoon asked missionary Lee Seong-geun, "There might be comfortable aspects to AKMU being siblings, and there might be uncomfortable aspects," and AKMU's father, missionary Lee Seong-geun, explained, "When our children were homeschooled they stayed only at home. Their friends were all at school, so at home they inevitably became each other's only friend. If they were awkward with each other or fought, the only friend would be gone, so they had to reconcile quickly."
He said their chemistry seemed to have developed more because of this, "As they became adults moments of a realistic sibling relationship were shown, and as they've come this far Chan-hyuk and Su-hyun have very different talents. In a way Su-hyun is the muse who can realize Chan-hyuk's music, and Su-hyun's best songs are written by her brother, so there is a mutual respect formed between them."
Joo Young-hoon opened by saying, "I saw an article that Su-hyun had a hard time when her brother went to the military," and missionary Lee Seong-geun said, "We didn't know well either. Su-hyun's slump began from the time Chan-hyuk went to the military. At the time we didn't know the cause well, but through the broadcasts we also appeared on, we learned that when her brother coordinated with the company and pushed through his musical convictions he stepped forward."
Missionary Lee Seong-geun said, "Su-hyun had been happily singing following her brother, but after he went to the military she found herself in a position to make decisions and take responsibility up front, and she said she felt fear and came to understand her brother's burden."
He added, "That became the start and Su-hyun went through a fairly long slump. We learned this in the last one to two years, but the child became a celebrity early and received love from many fans and the company, yet within the structure of working with adults she couldn't experience being her age and as an adult she seems to have gone through a period of burnout."
