Model Kim Seong-chan (real name Kim Gyeong-mo), who appeared on 'Challenge! Supermodel Korea season 5', died after battling cancer. He was 35.
On the 6th, Kim Seong-chan's older brother posted on social media, "Hello. I am Kim Gyeong-mo (Seong-chan)'s older brother. Gyeong-mo passed away beside us after more than two years of fighting cancer," he announced.
He added, "I have no way to contact Gyeong-mo's acquaintances, so I'm leaving this post. Please offer warm condolences and words to my younger brother. Thank you."
According to the obituary released by the bereaved family, Kim Seong-chan's wake will be held in room 2 of the Seoul Medical Center funeral hall, and the funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on the 8th. The burial site is Eden Memorial Park.
Earlier, after revealing he was fighting non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Kim Seong-chan regularly shared updates on his treatment progress on social media even while undergoing treatment. In January he left a hopeful message saying, "As you can see, I'm recovering well."
Upon hearing the obituary, Rainbow Noeul left a condolence comment, "Sincere condolences for the deceased. Seong-chan, don't be in pain anymore and rest in peace."
Meanwhile, Kim Seong-chan debuted in 2013 with the '2014 S/S Unbounds Our Way' fashion show and became known by face and name in 2015 through OnStyle's 'Challenge! Supermodel Korea season 5 Guys & Girls'.
