g-idle's Miyeon previewed her second solo album.
On the 7th, a video titled "Miyeon can even say things like this?! Our hollow conversations have changed" was posted on the YouTube channel "Hyeri."
That day, Miyeon of (G)I-DLE appeared as a guest on "Hyess Club." Miyeon, returning with her second solo album 'MY, Lover' (My Lover), said, "It's coming out after three years and six months. I was busy with activities and didn't realize it, but quite a lot of time has passed." Hyeri asked, "Because your first (solo) album did well, I think you might have felt pressure."
Miyeon confessed, "Anyway, because it's the second one it really felt burdensome. I've gained more years of experience, so I felt I should do better, and as a member of the group I felt I should perform better, so I felt a lot of pressure." Then she said she changed her way of thinking. She said, "Originally I was thinking this way was 'not really like me. Even if I try it this way it's no good,' so I thought, 'let's relax a bit,' and then things actually went smoothly."
When asked about the reactions of (G)I-DLE members, Miyeon said, "I didn't share the process with anyone. They knew I was preparing an album, but I was so unsure that I was afraid to ask anyone. So I didn't tell my friends or close people, including my older sister. I just worried a lot by myself, and as things gradually became clearer I started to talk about it."
Hearing this, Hyeri praised her, saying, "You seem adult. It's suddenly unfamiliar. The stories that felt like Miyeon keeping things inside sounded adult."
Miyeon explained, "When it's not work I tell everything, right? Regarding this kind of thing, the company actually didn't know the answer either, and after being active for one, two years, the person who knows best ends up being me. This felt like a homework assignment for me. I couldn't ask."
Hyeri said, "It seems like an album that fully contains Miyeon," and Miyeon agreed, saying, "It's like that compared with the first album," piquing curiosity.
