Band LUCY continues the momentum for its new release.
LUCY posted the music video for the double title track "Becoming urgent (Feat. Wonstein)" from its seventh mini album "Sun" on its official YouTube channel on the 6th.
The released video shows protagonists compromising in their respective places in a world where music is banned, growing increasingly exhausted as time passes. Finally escaping the suffocating routine, those who run out of the "Sun" smile brightly as they see LUCY members freely playing music at the end.
"Becoming urgent (Feat. Wonstein)" is a song that captures LUCY's new genre experiment combining jazz and R&B, with member Jo Won-sang participating in lyrics, composition and arrangement to enhance its completeness. Jazz piano and gypsy violin lead an urban atmosphere, and the rhythmic instrumental arrangement and rich string sound blend to evoke a deep sensibility. In particular, the string tremolo that appears in the middle of the song delicately expresses the narrator's complex inner feelings after deciding to let go of the other person, increasing immersion.
LUCY's seventh mini album "Sun" explores "love that cannot be defined" and unravels the various forms of love and relationships that change depending on modes of consolidation and tying, through LUCY's own sensibility. Including the double title tracks "Becoming urgent (Feat. Wonstein)" and "What about love," the album contains four songs in total: "EIO," and "The love that loved forever," and, following previous works, member Jo Won-sang participated in the album's overall production to draw an even more evolved musical "Sun."
LUCY will hold its eighth solo concert, 2025 LUCY 8TH CONCERT 'LUCID LINE', for three days from today, the 7th, through the 9th at the Ticketlink Live Arena in Olympic Park, Songpa District, Seoul. With all seats sold out for three performances, LUCY draws a "clearly shining line" in fans' hearts with a rich setlist that comprehensively features new songs and signature tracks that fully reflect the band's musical capabilities.
