The group Epik High decided on the best noodle dish in East Asia along with their Asia tour.
Epik High (Tablo, Mithra, Tooko) released a video titled "I want to live thin and long like a noodle" on their YouTube channel "EPIKASE" on the 6th.
In the video, Epik High set off from the Han River in Seoul to Osaka, Taipei and Hong Kong to find the best noodle dish in East Asia. First, Epik High gathered at the Han River and suggested visiting delicious noodle restaurants in East Asia to set the taste standard before eating Han River ramen. Since the cities overlapped with their Asia tour, it was perfect content, and Epik High instantly transported to the first location, Osaka, chanting "one, two, three, yap!"
In Osaka, instead of a traditional ramen shop, Epik High visited a trendy spicy ramen restaurant and chose the spiciness level. Mithra, who ordered level 4, said it was like "Yeul Ramen," but soon began sweating, and Tablo, who ate level 2, also said it was spicy and evaluated that it "felt like mala soup." During this, they recalled an incident in the past when Tooko secretly changed Tooko's curry to the spiciest level.
Then Epik High moved to Taipei and went to a beef noodle restaurant. While tasting clear-broth and spicy beef noodle soup, Tablo analyzed that it "felt like oriental medicine," and all members liked the tender meat and chewy noodles. In particular, Tooko analyzed that "Osaka ramen was stimulating, but beef noodle soup is gentle on the stomach," and while continuing the conversation, Tablo said, "Because tours are frequent and you never know what will happen, I always leave a will in video and writing," drawing attention.
The third city was Hong Kong, where they headed to a wonton noodle shop. After tasting wonton noodles in clear broth, Epik High gave taste evaluations such as "After eating stimulating foods, it's nice to eat something clear." In particular, watching Tooko, who is a picky eater, eat wonton noodles at a fast pace unlike elsewhere, they rated it "number one." During this, Epik High discussed "how to succeed," setting the criteria as "50 billion" and "timing." Tablo cited Psy's "Gangnam Style" as an example and emphasized that you must be prepared to catch the timing.
Back at the Han River, Epik High headed to a convenience store to eat the "Han River ramen" that had started the trip. After tasting the Han River ramen, Mithra picked Osaka as the best, Tablo picked Hong Kong as the best. Tooko complained that his ruined "Han River ramen" tasted bad, drawing laughter.
