Fantagio, the agency of singer and actor Cha Eun-woo, officially apologized for the confusion that occurred during a fan event.
On the 5th, Fantagio said via its official SNS, "We would like to provide guidance regarding the ARS voice content for Cha Eun-woo's 2nd mini album 'ELSE', which was released on the 4th," and "The published number is '070-8919-0330', and calls can only be connected to that number."
It added, "Recently some users entered the wrong number and calls were made to other places," and "We sincerely apologize to those who experienced inconvenience because of this."
This ARS event was planned so Cha Eun-woo could give a "surprise gift" to fans even while serving in the military; if you call the number, you can hear his pre-recorded voice. Along with asking how they are, Cha Eun-woo said, "How do you like my album? Are you thinking about me a lot? I miss you," and is expected to soothe fans' hearts with warm greetings.
However, immediately after the event was announced, some fans entered the wrong number and calls surged to private individuals using similar numbers. The agency promptly posted a correction and urged again that the correct number be used.
Meanwhile, Cha Eun-woo enlisted in the Army Band in July and is currently serving on active duty. His new album 'ELSE', pre-recorded before enlistment, is scheduled to be released on Nov. 21 at 1 p.m. on various music sites, and is expected to be a heartfelt gift he left for fans while serving in the military.
