Fantagio, the agency of singer and actor Cha Eun-woo, formally apologized for a phone confusion that occurred during a fan event.
On the 5th Fantagio announced via its official social media channels that "there was confusion regarding the ARS voice content for Cha Eun-woo's mini album 2, 'ELSE,' released on the 4th," and "the correct consolidation number is '070-8919-0330,' and the service is available only through that number."
It added, "Some users misdialed and calls went to entirely different numbers," and "we sincerely apologize to everyone who experienced inconvenience because of this."
This ARS event was a special event personally planned by Cha Eun-woo, who is serving in the military, to deliver warm messages to fans; if fans call the designated number they can hear a voice message featuring Cha Eun-woo's voice. He says, "How do you like my album? Do you think about me a lot? I miss you," delivering caring greetings that are expected to capture fans' hearts.
However, immediately after the event was announced some fans misdialed, triggering a surge of calls to ordinary people using similar numbers, and the agency promptly issued a correction notice to reprovide the correct number and contain the situation.
Meanwhile, Cha Eun-woo enlisted in the Army Band in July and is faithfully serving. His new mini album 2, 'ELSE,' which was prerecorded before enlistment, is scheduled to be released at 1 p.m. on Nov. 21 on various music platforms, and is expected to be an unforgettable gift for fans even during his military service.
