Han Chang, the husband of TV personality Jang Young-ran, began preparing to reopen a Korean medicine clinic six months after closing his previous one.
On the 5th, a video titled "Jang Young-ran's unemployed husband opens a Korean medicine clinic after 6 months" was posted on the YouTube channel "A-grade Jang Young-ran." In the video, Jang was seen going on-site around Apgujeong and Gocheok-dong in Seoul with her husband Han Chang, who had closed his clinic, to look for a new clinic location.
On a street in Apgujeong, Jang told the production staff, "Today, my husband might finally get a job. We're going around on-site to look into a Korean medicine clinic," and explained, "Hong Hyun-hee recommended Apgujeong, saying it's good, so we came."
She went on, "I wanted to let my husband rest a little longer, but he said he wants to treat many people, so we're thinking of opening a small clinic again."
The first place they viewed was 23 pyeong, with a 200 million won deposit and monthly rent in the 10 million won range. However, they were disappointed because it had been vacant for over two years and the rent was high. The second place was 7 pyeong, too small to practically run a clinic.
The third place was 14 pyeong with monthly rent of 4.5 million won, which was not bad, but they hesitated because foot traffic was low. The couple then moved to Gocheok-dong, where Jang used to live. The fourth place was in an area with many seniors and had a large space, but the high rent and the number of competing clinics nearby were cited as drawbacks.
The fifth and last place was spacious and clean at 80 pyeong, but it was regrettable because the interior expense would be high.
After seeing all five candidates, Han said, "I'm unemployed, but it didn't feel like I was. It felt like I was a prospective entrepreneur." He added, "I like the fourth place the most. I'll work hard and show you."
