Singer G-Dragon met Cha Eun-woo. The two raised the stature of K-pop by serving as host and performer, respectively, at the APEC leaders' official welcome dinner.
On the 5th, a short video titled "A day of GD" was released on G-Dragon's official YouTube channel.
The released video also showed G-Dragon, who visited Gyeongju for the APEC event, meeting Cha Eun-woo. Although Cha Eun-woo is a soldier, he served as host wearing a suit instead of a uniform, and upon seeing G-Dragon he greeted him with a precise salute, showing courtesy.
G-Dragon smiled, took Cha Eun-woo's hand and hugged him naturally, and the sight of them encouraging each other brought warmth.
Earlier, on the 31st of last month, Cha Eun-woo and G-Dragon brightened the event by handling the program and cultural performance at the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) leaders' official welcome dinner.
Cha Eun-woo lit up the venue with fluent English and his still striking "face genius" visuals even after enlisting, and G-Dragon solidified his status as an artist demonstrating K-pop's influence by presenting a performance of about 10 minutes.
Some leaders and aides watching G-Dragon's stage, where he appeared wearing a gat, were captured taking out their phones to film, drawing attention.
Meanwhile, Cha Eun-woo enlisted in the Army band on July 28 and is currently serving as a corporal attached to the Ministry of National Defense support unit. The Ministry of National Defense band unit plays a role in major events hosted by the president and the government, such as national holiday ceremonies, memorial hall commemorative events, and state welcome honors. It is broadly composed of a traditional orchestra, a symphony orchestra, and a fanfare unit, and Cha Eun-woo is known to belong to the fanfare unit as a singer soldier.
Separately, the film First Ride, which features Cha Eun-woo, was released on the 29th of last month. He will release his mini album 2 "ELSE" on the 21st.
