Singer Kim Jong-kook successfully wrapped up the "cardio concert," his first stage since getting married and a celebration of his 30th debut anniversary.
The concert drew attention as a true "concert of loyalty," with close friends including Cha Tae-hyun, Yang Se-chan, Jonathan, Shori, Ma Sun-ho and attorney Park Min-cheol all appearing.
Before going on stage on YouTube, Cha Tae-hyun said, "Jong-kook and I mark our 30th anniversary side by side," and added, "Actors don't do anything special even when they hit a 30th anniversary, but singers can celebrate with fans like this, and I'm really envious and impressed." He continued, "Thirty years since debut is by no means an easy thing. It's admirable that they relied on each other and endured like this," and offered sincere congratulations, saying, "This being the first concert as a married man, his mindset will also be different. I hope his second life is happy and he lives it as wonderfully as he does now."
Cha Tae-hyun raised the atmosphere by preparing a congratulatory performance, and attorney Park Min-cheol also sent a message of support before going on stage, saying, "There were really big events this year. From now on is a new beginning. Let's cheer on the 30th anniversary when we turn 60."
In particular, that day Kim Jong-kook revealed recent news following his newlywed home worth about 6 billion won, saying, "I recently changed my car," and joked, "I always rode only carnival festival vehicles, but this time I changed to a good car," adding, "I want to review it, but I don't know much about cars, so it's just very nice," drawing laughter.
Fans gave enthusiastic support, saying, "It's amazing to hold a 30th anniversary concert right after getting married," and "Kim Jong-kook, fighting! I hope you continue a happy life in music."
Kim Jong-kook told fans, "I am someone who will give memories," and said, "I haven't been very active musically, but I hope my songs remain as a piece of your memories."
As promised, the "cardio concert" remained a meaningful stage that celebrated Kim Jong-kook's past 30 years and the newly beginning second life together.
Meanwhile, Kim Jong-kook held a private wedding on Sept. 5, inviting only family and close acquaintances at a location in Seoul.
