The group Super Junior (SUPER JUNIOR, affiliated with SME) marked its 20th debut anniversary today (the 6th).
This year, as the members have shown the best teamwork as a team and are making a powerful move, we looked at the achievements of 20-year-old Super Junior.
# "The album I count as the best" ambitions reflected in the 12th full-length album → powerful global chart firepower
Super Junior released the 12th full-length album in July, Super Junior25 (Super Junior I.O), to celebrate their 20th debut anniversary. The members named the album themselves inspired by their debut album and first full-length album, Super Junior05 (Super Junior O5), and at the time of release conveyed their ambition, saying, "Starting with this album, we will create even more amazing times," and expressing confidence by introducing it as "I hope it becomes the album E.L.F.s count as the best."
As they wished, the 12th full-length album received continued responses from many music fans. The album, which includes nine tracks including the title track Express Mode, where you can encounter Super Junior's definitive sense of style, surpassed 300,000 copies in first-week sales after release and achieved its highest figure to date, proving Super Junior's firepower has become even stronger rather than remaining the same.
In addition, the title track Express Mode topped Taiwan KKBOX's real-time chart, K-pop new song daily chart, and K-pop single daily chart, while the other tracks also set a "lineup" record; the album reached No. 1 on iTunes top album charts in 20 regions worldwide, and No. 1 on China's QQ Music and Kugou Music digital album sales charts, filling the top ranks of global charts with the name Super Junior.
# Super Junior and ELF's pride "SUPER SHOW" → firsts + sold outs + consecutive praise "a place of celebration"
Another pride of Super Junior, the world tour concert brand SUPER SHOW, has continued its renown this year. After opening the 20th anniversary tour SUPER SHOW 10 at Seoul's KSPO DOME in August, and passing through the Jakarta performance, which brought the cumulative number of shows to 200, they are scheduled to hold 28 performances in 16 regions worldwide through March 2026.
In particular, Super Junior is setting new records again through SUPER SHOW as the first foreign group to enter Taipei Dome and perform three consecutive days. For the Taipei Dome performances (TAIPEI DOME) running Nov. 14–16, about 80,000 people tried to access tickets simultaneously when sales opened, and to repay local fans' interest and love, an additional show and the opening of restricted-view seats were decided, drawing attention.
Also, true to the group that held the largest South America tour by a Korean singer in 2013, Super Junior successfully completed four South American performances this year in Mexico City, Monterrey, Lima and Santiago. The earlier Manila performance also received praise, with GMA Network saying it felt "like returning home once again to a warm stage," and ABS-CBN calling it "a place of celebration that commemorates deep bonds among long-standing ties, beyond a simple stage."

Furthermore, this year Super Junior has met fans across many fields with Express Mode, which feels like an engine 20 times more powerful while retaining their usual "Super Junior essence." Starting with the 20th anniversary reality variety show Wake Up to Super TV, they drew audience response with perfect performances and music shows that featured a different "ending fairy," various variety shows and content that swept the buzz with witty talk, and news that combined fun and emotion. Moreover, just the news of their appearance at the 2025 MAMA AWARDS has drawn the full attention of music fans.
Attention is also focused on the stream of congratulations pouring in for Super Junior's moves. From Nov. 3 for a week, under the name "SJ WEEK," Super Junior-related content can be found around the world, and landmarks at home and abroad such as Namsan Seoul Tower, Dubai Imagine Show, Bangkok Siam Paragon and Hong Kong Times Square will be filled with Super Junior-related content. Thus, having worked hard beyond a week and throughout the year, Super Junior is expected to make 2025 remembered forever as the "SJ year."
