Cruelly, she was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in 2020, and thereafter received 18 rounds of chemotherapy and 33 radiation treatments. Kim Hee-ra recalled the painful time, "While showering I felt a lump in my right breast and went to the hospital just in case, and it was the late stage of stage 2 breast cancer," and "I received chemotherapy once every three weeks, and even after one injection I would vomit and be unable to stand up."
