Actor Bae Na-ra left a strong impression with a new look.
On the 5th, in The Manipulated (written by Oh Sang-ho / directed by Park Shin-woo, Kim Chang-joo), which was released on Disney+, Bae Na-ra appeared as Ubinam and showed a powerful presence as a mysterious figure.
With four episodes released in total, Bae Na-ra, who first appeared in episode 3, drew attention with an unexpected development. In a place where the floor was soaked with blood and an unidentified corpse lay, he appeared to move according to the orders of Johan (played by Doh Kyung Soo), raising questions, and he created a chilling atmosphere by casually brushing skin fragments off his shoes.
Afterwards, disguised as a medical staff member, he entered the prison, memorized the face of the target Tae-joong (played by Ji Chang-wook) in advance, and showed meticulousness by personally finding the missing person. In the scene where he pretends to give a vaccine and injects a preprepared drug into Tae-joong, his expressionless face, unreadable intentions, heightened the tension of the drama.
In episode 4 that followed, curiosity was aroused by a text message sent to someone presumed to be Johan. The concise message read "It will be over in 30 minutes," but it piques curiosity about what role he will continue to play in future developments and exactly what his relationship with Johan is.
Bae Na-ra's special appearance in Disney+ The Manipulated is released two episodes every Wednesday and can be seen in a total of 12 episodes.
Meanwhile, after leaving a strong presence with the Netflix original series D.P. season 2, Bae Na-ra has been building her own distinctive color by showcasing a variety of characters across genres through Weak Hero Class 2 and Tastefully Yours.
Currently attracting attention for playing Baek Sang-hyun in SBS's popular Friday-Saturday drama Would You Merry Me with a cool yet humane presence, she has also been cast in the musical Bonnie and Clyde, signaling activity that crosses both drama and stage.
