The Price of Confession, a Netflix series, has set its release date for Dec. 5 (Fri) and released a teaser poster and teaser trailer.
The Price of Confession, the new work of director Lee Jung-hyo, who has shown stylish direction across genres with the Netflix series I Doona!, the drama Crash Landing on You, The Good Wife and others, and which is drawing attention as the reunion of Jun Do-yeon and Kim Goeun 10 years after the film The Sword with No Name, will meet viewers around the world on Dec. 5 (Fri). The Price of Confession is a mystery thriller about Yoon-su, who is suspected of killing her husband, and Mo-eun, a mysterious figure called a witch, and the events that unfold between the two secretive people.
The released teaser poster focuses attention on An Yoon-su (Jeon Do-yeon) and Mo-eun (Kim Goeun), who wear identical burial garments and lie against each other with a wall between them.
Yoon-su, who became the prime suspect in her husband's murder, shows a desperate expression, and Mo-eun, called a notorious witch and accused of the horrific murder, shows an empty expression, making viewers curious about what background these two seemingly different people share. Along with the copy "suspicious innocence, a confessed transaction" and the title The Price of Confession, it raises questions about what kind of transaction will take place between them and what the price of their confessions will be, increasing anticipation for the work.
The released teaser trailer begins with Yoon-su, who calls 119 while holding her bloodied, collapsed husband, creating tension. After her husband's death, Yoon-su's calm behavior at the funeral home and during police questioning increases suspicion that she is the killer, while her screaming in front of many people that she did not kill her husband makes viewers hesitate to know whether to believe her.
Meanwhile, Mo-eun, who had been watching Yoon-su through footage from the horrific crime scene, approaches Yoon-su inside the prison and proposes a transaction he cannot refuse. She says she will confess that she killed Yoon-su's husband in Yoon-su's place if he does something for her.
In a situation where nothing can be trusted, Yoon-su, who must accept a dangerous transaction to get out of prison, and prosecutor Baek Dong-hoon (Park Hae-soo), who chases Mo-eun and Yoon-su's secrets to find the real truth, and Yoon-su's lawyer Jang Jeong-gu (Jin Sun-kyu) heighten the tension. Then Mo-eun's line, "In the end we will do this crazy thing," makes viewers wonder what transaction will take place between the two in exchange for a confession that hides the truth.
