The group CORTIS successfully wrapped up its first Japanese showcase.
CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, Geonho) held a solo showcase at Spotify O-WEST in Tokyo, Japan, on the 5th, performing tracks from their debut album 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' and taking part in a talk session. On the day, not only fans but also many members of the media were present, showing high interest in them.
CORTIS opened the event with the intro track from their debut album, 'GO!', saying, "We are truly happy to meet fans in Japan for the first time. We hope you enjoy it with us." They added, "This venue is where BTS held their Japan debut showcase. It is meaningful that we are starting here as well."
The members performed 'JoyRide', 'What You Want' and 'FaSHioN' in succession. The audience followed the songs and dances and enjoyed the stage together, and the atmosphere heated up. Even after the show ended, the excitement did not subside. Encore requests flooded the audience, and the members answered by singing 'FaSHioN' again and then performing 'GO!' and 'What You Want', giving fans an unforgettable memory.
They also reflected on their successful debut activities. With 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES', they entered the main U.S. Billboard album chart, the Billboard 200, at No. 15 (Sept. 27), receiving global love. On this they said they were grateful that many people listened to their music. Concluding the showcase, they expressed bold ambitions: "Someday we want to be artists who fill stadiums like BTS and TOMORROW X TOGETHER. We think today is the first step. Please watch and support us as we grow."
Amid a flood of love calls from Japanese media, CORTIS is actively engaging in activities such as a Tokyo Dome concert, radio appearances and music show appearances. They can be seen on TBS morning news THE TIME on the 6th and on the popular music program NTV's Buzz Rhythm 02 on the 7th.
