I'm SOLO season 28's Youngsu reversed his choice of the super date ticket amid Hyunsook's anger.
On the 5th episode of the SBS Plus·ENA variety show I'm SOLO (hereinafter I'm SOLO), a scene showed Youngsu telling Hyunsook he would not use the super date ticket on her.
That day, Youngsu, Hyunsook, Jungsook, Youngsik and Youngsook won the super date tickets, and Youngsu confessed to Hyunsook that he would use the super date ticket on Jungsook. When Hyunsook was baffled, he explained, "Jungsook probably won't use the super date ticket. She didn't meet me. It's decided, but I'll go see her. I want to talk one last time. I just want to clear up mutual misunderstandings and talk one last time."
Youngsu continued, "If not, it can't be helped. But I promise I'll definitely come to you. My heart already seems sorted," but Hyunsook questioned, "Why would I wait?"
In a subsequent interview, Hyunsook said in anger, "He's the kind of person who wants everything. It's like he's treating me as a mistress, saying he'll sort out the main partner and come back. He says he'll use it on someone else but doesn't want to receive my hatred; he wants both things, which is ridiculous. It's greed. I can't shake the feeling that I'm being taken advantage of."
Earlier, Youngsu, who had called Hyunsook out before the promised 6 p.m., expressed, "I'm trying to show my feelings. Regardless of whether you sort things out or not, since it's decided, my heart wants to go to you." Hyunsook retorted, "It feels like you played with me. It's so upsetting that you're not using the super date ticket on me and say you want to sort out your feelings," she shot back. Although he tried to explain he didn't intend that, Youngsook said angrily, "I'm so mad. It's like a mistress leaving her main partner."
When Youngsu said, "Jungsook keeps avoiding me," Hyunsook yelled, "Are you the only one who doesn't know why people avoid you and run away? You have to be trustworthy. Wouldn't I choose you?"
Unmoved, Youngsu said, "I want to keep moving straight toward you," and added, "I'll just talk and come back. I'll just tell her my thoughts and come back. Anyway, I've conveyed my feelings, so please understand. I'll do better from now on." Then Hyunsook snapped, "Don't just talk. How could I live with someone who only talks. It's really annoying," and stormed out.
In the end, Youngsu called out Hyunsook and declared he would use the super date ticket on Hyunsook instead of Jungsook. But Hyunsook had already, in a fit of anger, used the super date ticket on Youngcheol. Youngsu proposed, "I'm sorry. Let's leave together now."
Song Hae-na angrily said, "What the heck is this?" and Defconn laughed, "She seems upset, so since she probably would use it, isn't it better to leave together now?" Youngsu kept apologizing, "If it's not you, I'm saying this thinking of ending I'm SOLO. The super date ticket is just meant for talking, but I feel sorry because you and I are very different."
But Hyunsook said, "Isn't this because you're weak to tears?" and "I feel played and manipulated," then stormed out again. Ultimately, Youngsu's super date ticket made a long detour and ended up with Hyunsook.
Meanwhile, Jungsook planned to choose Sangcheol instead of Youngsu, but when Sunja, who was going well with Sangcheol, refused, after much deliberation she surprised everyone by using the super date ticket on Youngsu. She explained the reason: "There was no one to use it on. Everyone had love lines so it would bother the women, so let's just have a drink and go. Youngsu matches my drinking well. So let's use it on Youngsu and go have a drink quickly. I went back and used it on Youngsu."
On the other hand, Youngsu said, "I was really taken aback. Conversely, I was really grateful. It's at least an opportunity to talk. But I was kind of stunned. That important 'super date ticket' she said she'd use on me. I was going to use it but used it on Hyunsook; it's not even a trick of fate."
