Actress Jang Yoon-ju mentioned the reward vacation.
On the 6th, at a café in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, an interview was held with lead actress Jang Yoon-ju of the Genie TV original series "The Good Woman Bu-semi."
On the 4th, the 12-episode "The Good Woman Bu-semi" concluded. It is a crime romance drama about a dirt-poor female bodyguard who, with a three-month countdown to an intended life reset, enters into a contract marriage with a terminally ill chaebol chairman dreaming of a big break and must change her identity and survive for three months to avoid those aiming for a vast inheritance.
Jang Yoon-ju played Ga Seon-young, the stepdaughter of the owner of the Gaseong group who is after the chairman's inheritance. "Bu-semi" achieved a final nationwide rating of 7.1% and a Seoul metropolitan area rating of 7.1%, repeatedly setting its own record high ratings day after day. Especially in nationwide household ratings, it not only ranked first among ENA's Monday-Tuesday dramas in 2025 but also rose to second place in ENA drama history, concluding on a high note.
Regarding this, Jang Yoon-ju said, "When we finished the last shoot, as soon as it ended the atmosphere was that we were No. 1. Everyone was so excited. Every time that happened, I thought, these people. We'll see when it comes out. They shouldn't get that excited!"
She continued, "We were that united, and there was support and encouragement. There was a wish in our hearts for it to do well. After it all ended, I think we said 'jackpot.' More than any other project. Realistically, there wasn't a single person saying 'we'll know when it airs'; it was a unity of 'let's go! Bali!' In that atmosphere, in my heart I had a worry of 'what if they expect so much and it doesn't do well.' But it really succeeded just as we shouted together. It's so amazing and I'm grateful," she laughed.
In particular, Jeon Yeo-bin recently hinted at a reward vacation in a wrap-up interview, saying, "The original promise was 7%. If it exceeded 7% they'd send us to Bali. If the final episode rating is 7% we could go." Having passed the '7%' barrier, when asked about the reward vacation Jang Yoon-ju said, "Bali is too far. I'm against Bali," drawing laughter.
She added, "Bali has become established as the special destination for reward vacations. Personally, I think Guam or Saipan would do. In four hours the beaches are clear and there are outlets," joking, and added, "I heard they are discussing it internally. People have put the idea out there. Everyone kept talking about it during bonding. It seems like it will become a reality and we'll go."
