Actress Jang Ga-hyun confessed that she was a victim of school violence in the past.
Jang Ga-hyun wrote on social media on the 6th, "I was the main target of the troublemakers," saying, "As soon as I transferred schools, the top bullies clung to me, and I had to endure all kinds of ordeals: kicking my feet, throwing paper from behind, insulting me. Their reasons were ridiculous — they said it was because the boys they liked liked me," revealing that she had experienced school violence in the past.
She added, "Eventually I got close to someone like I-jin? so I could attend school more comfortably," saying, "Then I ended up fighting the real ringleader, and with my long sleeves and legs I won. I saw blood (a weapon was used)… Huh, I won, right?!!! But then my friends and even her sister, who had been to a juvenile detention center, were all called and they beat me up as a group," which surprised readers.
She continued, "The reason was that I was flirting with the boy her sister liked — it was so annoying that I actually started dating him!" and said, "And time passed and passed, and when I started appearing on TV often, that ringleader sent me a DM asking if I was doing well, if I remembered, and that they missed me," which she said in disbelief.
When a fan commented, "Because she's pretty, she went through such a hard school life," she expressed frustration, saying, "If the school violence committee had existed then, I wouldn't have let it go."
Jang Ga-hyun is an actress who debuted in 1998 in the film Quiet Family. He married Jo Seong-min, a guest member of the group 015B, in 2000, two years after her debut. The two, who had one son and one daughter, divorced in 2020 after 20 years of marriage.
