Artist Samui, who observes the world and captures the inner self through her unique perspective, will release an EP in the second half of the year following a release in the first half.
Samui will release the EP "Yang" today (6) at 6 p.m. on various music platforms. "Yang" is the second part of the upcoming second full-length album "Imbalance" and continues the story of the journey toward balance that began with the EP "Eum," released in the first half of the year. The album cover image also shares a connection with "Eum," and the image of light seeping in from outside hints at the album's mood, drawing attention.
The title track "Confession" is a song that contains a personal story confronting the feeling of longing head-on. Along with the audio release, a music video showing Samui performing "Confession" passionately at a wedding will be released simultaneously. In an earlier music video teaser, Samui singing appears both earnest and comedic, raising expectations.
Ahead of the release of her second full-length album "Imbalance," her first album in five years, Samui released the first story "Eum" in the first half and the second story "Yang" in the second half, consecutively releasing them and continuing her distinctive musical journey, which has increased curiosity about her future moves.
Samui debuted in the music scene in 2016 with the EP "After dawn comes morning" and has steadily released several singles and EPs, including the 2020 full-length album "Nongdam." Samui is a singer-songwriter with a voice that makes even the same stories sound special.
