Guitarist Jung Seong-ha will hold a solo concert.
Jung Seong-ha will meet fans with solo concerts titled "My Favorite Things" at KT&G Sangsangmadang Busan Live Hall in Busan on the 22nd and at Hinnumgyeol Art Center in Seoul on the 23rd.
"My Favorite Things" is a performance that, true to its title, captures the things Jung Seong-ha loves in daily life and the inspirations he felt through music. His playing, which paints many emotions with a single guitar, is expected to deliver warm consolation and excitement to the audience with melodies that bloom anew at every moment.
In particular, at this concert Jung Seong-ha plans to showcase a variety of works including many of his signature songs as well as tracks from his new release "MIXTAPE 2," which was released last September. This series album, released eight years after the 2017 album "MIXTAPE," is a cover performance album that reinterprets world rock classics of the 1970s and 1980s in fingerstyle guitar and includes a total of six tracks.
With this album, Jung Seong-ha reinterpreted timeless classics such as "Sweet Child O' Mine" (Guns N' Roses), "Bohemian Rhapsody" (Queen), "Sultans of Swing" (Dire Straits), "Stairway To Heaven" (Led Zeppelin), "Beat It" (Michael Jackson) and "Hotel California" (Eagles) in his own fingerstyle guitar performances, proving a broad musical spectrum.
Guitarists Kim Young-so and Kim Jin-san, among other rising players, also participated as featured performers to enhance the album's completeness, and the cross-generational collaboration drew significant public attention.
Through his YouTube channel, which has 7.21 million subscribers, Jung Seong-ha has consistently presented high-quality guitar performance videos to viewers around the world, solidifying his position as a global fingerstyle guitarist by becoming the first Korean to surpass 100 million views on a YouTube guitar performance video. Recently, he demonstrated his presence by participating as a guest at the Korean concert of world-renowned guitarist Tommy Emmanuel.
Jung Seong-ha's solo concert "My Favorite Things" will be held at KT&G Sangsangmadang Busan Live Hall in Busan at 5 p.m. on Saturday the 22nd and at Hinnumgyeol Art Center in Seoul at 5 p.m. on Sunday the 23rd, and tickets can be reserved through NOL Ticket (Interpark Ticket).
