The group BOYNEXTDOOR achieved strong results in six Billboard institutional sector charts in the United States.
On the Nov. 8 chart released by U.S. music outlet Billboard, BOYNEXTDOOR (Seong-ho, Ryu, Myung Jae-hyun, Tae-san, Lee Han, Un-hak)'s mini fifth album The Action ranked 40th on the main album chart, the Billboard 200. This is 22 spots higher than the previous release No Genre (62). Also, following mini album 1 WHY.. (162), mini album 2 HOW? (93), mini album 3 19.99 (40) and mini album 4 No Genre (62), they succeeded in entering the Billboard 200 for a fifth consecutive time, setting a unique record among K-pop groups that debuted in the same period.
BOYNEXTDOOR went straight to No. 1 on the Emerging Artist chart, which spotlights rising artists worldwide, and No. 1 on the World Albums chart, which combines album sales and streaming figures, showcasing their distinct presence. They also placed high on major charts, ranking 7th on Top Album Sales, which lists U.S. physical album sales for the week, and 6th on Top Current Album Sales. They ranked 25th on Artist 100, which aggregates streaming, sales and radio airplay, surpassing prominent musicians; it was the highest rank among K-pop boy groups that day.
Music directly created by the members drove the album's success in the global market. Lyrics that form a universal sense of empathy and catchy melodies captured the hearts of music fans worldwide. In addition to Myung Jae-hyun, Tae-san and Un-hak, who have consistently participated in songwriting, Lee Han was credited on the title track Hollywood Action. Positive listener responses to an album that deeply reflected the team's personality led to strong results. The outstanding performances shown during their first solo tour BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR 'KNOCK ON Vol.1' gathered the global fandom and contributed to the group's upward momentum. Riding that momentum, BOYNEXTDOOR achieved three consecutive million-selling releases with The Action, showing they have moved up a weight class.
After wrapping up promotions for the new release, BOYNEXTDOOR will meet global fandom on the first day of the 2025 MAMA AWARDS, held at Kai Tak Stadium, Hong Kong's largest venue, on Nov. 28-29.
