Recently, at a cafe in Gangnam District, Seoul, an interview was held with Jeon Yeo-bin, the lead actress of the Genie TV original series "The Good Woman Busemi."
The 12-episode "The Good Woman Busemi," which ended on the 4th, is a crime romance drama about a poor female bodyguard who, with three months left until her life reset, risks everything by entering into a contract marriage with a terminally ill chaebol chairman dreaming of one big break, and who must change her identity and survive for three months to avoid those seeking the vast inheritance.

Regarding the unusually strong reactions, Jeon Yeo-bin said, "I looked up a lot of reactions. I read the comments too. I normally don't watch real-time reactions directly, but recently I've been joining Naver chat rooms and watching constantly," and laughed, "They said, 'Yeong-ran is such a hard nut.' From Yeong-ran's perspective, she's someone who is doing her best defense and has to play a game where she wins without losing anything."
She also answered about the burden she felt regarding "ratings" when joining the project. Jeon Yeo-bin said, "I didn't feel burdened," and added, "When you enter the set, the staff stand out more. This work is absolutely not something one person can do. The idea of doing it alone feels arrogant. Don't many scenes get filled by wonderful senior and junior colleagues?"
She continued, "Of course, there are such things. If there's something to be criticized, I felt the attitude that it should be my share as the title bearer. So I thought of taking that as responsibility rather than fear. I did think that certain things on set would be my responsibility."
Jeon Yeo-bin also said, "Ratings are not something I can control. I'm glad and thankful for the good numbers. In a way, Be Melodramatic had a 1% rating. Even so, it later received a lot of love through OTT services as an underdog. Ratings are a big issue, but I felt they are not everything, and I thought you can't link artistic merit and ratings necessarily."
Still, she joked, "Of course, I'm very grateful that this work achieved good ratings. Good ratings are something actors always crave."
When asked about a "reward trip," Jeon Yeo-bin said, "The original agreement was 7%. They said they'd send us to Bali if we exceeded 7%. If the final episode's rating is 7% then we could go. I hope they send us," she said, revealing her wish and prompting laughter.
