Singer Park Jin-Young (J.Y. Park) is releasing his new song today (the 5th), 'Happy Hour (퇴근길) (With 권진아)' (Happy Hour), and will take charge of after-work playlists.
Park Jin-Young will release the new single 'Happy Hour' and the title track 'Happy Hour (퇴근길) (With 권진아)' at 6 p.m. on the 5th. Following his 2024 energetic predecessor 'Easy Lover (아니라고 말해줘)', the new song, presented about a year later, is the long-awaited Park Jin-Young-style ballad that he wrote and composed himself. On the country-pop genre with a warm touch, he teamed up with sensitive solo artist Kwon Jin-A, who has a unique musical color, to complete a distinctive musical synergy.
On the afternoon of the 4th, Park Jin-Young increased expectations by unveiling a music video teaser for the new song on his official social media channels. In the teaser, Park Jin-Young transforms into an office worker who works at the company whose motto is 'Praise is performance. Humans are the goal.' He yawns widely during work hours and, in a presentation, displays the typo 'TANK YOU' instead of 'THANK YOU,' smiling brightly to express realistic humor. He also drew attention by deliciously acting out characters who might actually exist around us, such as clapping with a halfhearted expression at a colleague's achievement and retying his shoelace because he does not want to do the math. The camcorder-style cinematography and the unexpected chemistry with Kwon Jin-A also serve as viewing points of the music video.
'Happy Hour (퇴근길) (With 권진아)' captures the moment of plugging in earphones as you leave work, turning on your playlist and comforting yourself for the day. Park Jin-Young, the 'eternal entertainer' who has remained at the top of the pop music scene for more than 30 years and has shared joys and sorrows with the public, delivers music through the new song that offers healing and encouragement to everyone living a fierce life.
Park Jin-Young, along with releasing the new single 'Happy Hour' on the 5th, will hold a solo concert 'HAPPY HOUR' for two days on Dec. 13 and 14 at the Kyung Hee University Peace Hall in Seoul. At the new concert, where audiences can once again confirm his parade of hits and fantastic performance skills, he plans to raise the audience's sense of happiness and wrap up the year meaningfully.
