Actor Sung Yu-ri, formerly of the group Fin.K.L, returned to broadcasting through a variety show about two years after controversy involving her husband.
On the 4th, the first episode of the tvN variety show "Go to the end" aired, featuring Sung Yu-ri, who shared what she has been up to. On the broadcast, Sung talked about the difficulties of managing her weight after giving birth to twins. Sung built rapport by talking with the guests about changes after childbirth.
Sung Yu-ri's variety show appearance is her first in about two years since the 2023 KBS2 program "Can a breakup be recalled?". Earlier, in Sep. 2021, Sung's husband Ahn Sung-hyun and former Bithumb Holdings chief Lee Sang-jun were accused of receiving tens of billions of won in exchange for a request to list A Coin on the Bithumb exchange by Nov. that year.
In Apr. 2023, Ahn Sung-hyun was indicted without detention on fraud charges related to suspicions of an under-the-table coin listing. In December, he was sentenced to four years and six months in prison for bribery in breach of duty and fraud under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes. Ahn was released on bail after posting a 50 million won deposit, with conditions including residence restrictions, a ban on overseas travel without court approval, and limits on contact with other defendants and witnesses.
Sung Yu-ri halted activities during the trial period, then resumed her career through home shopping after eight months. When Sung shared news of this variety show appearance on social media, Fin.K.L member Lee Hyori left a comment saying, "Yuri, well done!! You got this!!," showing her public support. Fans also reacted by saying, "Fin.K.L's friendship is still the same."
