Singer Kyuhyun returns this winter with an EP that emphasizes a "ballad direct approach."
His agency Antenna posted Kyuhyun's EP The Classic schedule on its official social media on the 4th.
According to the released scheduler, Kyuhyun will begin with concept photos in three versions—Reminiscence, Still and Afterglow—followed by the tracklist on the 7th, album preorders opening on the 10th, an album preview on the 14th, a music video teaser on the 18th and a digital cover on the 19th.
In particular, the scheduler images attract attention by being designed like scrapbook pages as if treasuring memories. Objects such as paper cranes and clips stimulate viewers' emotions and raise expectations for the new EP.
The Classic is Kyuhyun's new album, released about a year after his full album COLORS in November last year. As the album title The Classic suggests, this EP retraces Kyuhyun's center as a balladeer. It is expected to include Kyuhyun's signature ballads and reflect on the genre's depth and essence.
After joining Antenna, Kyuhyun released the EP Restart and the full album COLORS in succession, challenging various genres and proving a broad musical spectrum. With The Classic, Kyuhyun is expected to pursue change within the ballad genre and once again demonstrate his musical capabilities.
Kyuhyun's EP The Classic, which will offer high-quality ballads optimized for winter sentiment, will be released on the 20th at 6 p.m. on various music sites.
