Kang Tae-oh and Kim Se-jeong's soul switch, shining with 100% synchronicity, is coming.
Moon River, a new MBC Friday-Saturday drama that will premiere on the 7th (Fri) at 9:50 p.m. (writer Jo Seung-hee / director Lee Dong-hyun / planning Kwon Seong-chang / production Highjeum Studio), is a historical romance fantasy drama about a crown prince who has lost his smile and a noblewoman of the households who has lost her memory whose souls swap in an empathy-exchange (易地四肢).
Attention is focused on the strange tale of Crown Prince Lee Gang (played by Kang Tae-oh) and noblewoman Park Dal-i (played by Kim Se-jeong), whose souls inexplicably swapped, and expectations are rising for the two actors' passionate performances that will portray this perfectly.
In an earlier released teaser, the appearance of the two whose bodies were swapped stirred intense public interest. To make the soul switch feel even more realistic, Kang Tae-oh (as Lee Gang) and Kim Se-jeong (as Park Dal-i), who made thorough preparations, revealed the process themselves, drawing attention.
Kang Tae-oh, who said he carefully observed the way Kim Se-jeong portrayed Park Dal-i during filming, noted, "I tried to adopt the external characterization of Park Dal-i that actress Kim Se-jeong infused—habits, habitual expressions, emotions, speech patterns. We also met separately to do readings and shared our opinions on how each would think in given situations. We even recorded and sent each other's lines to help one another," revealing his exceptional enthusiasm.
Kim Se-jeong also said, "We even set aside days to rewrite and read the script, and when there were difficult parts we shared them immediately and built up ideas. I tried to catch and copy Kang Tae-oh's usual habits and speech patterns, and I especially thought Kang Tae-oh's Gong Myoung point was really good, so I remember researching and practicing that part a lot," showing traces of effort to flavorfully portray the Lee Gang character.
With Kang Tae-oh and Kim Se-jeong's unparalleled teamwork, painstaking even about the smallest details, curiosity grows about how they completed Lee Gang and Park Dal-i's soul swap in the drama and what laughter and emotion they will deliver.
