Model Moon Gabi shared everyday photos with her 2-year-old son, whom she had with Jung Woo-sung, and took action after suffering damage from an AI composite video.
On the 5th, Moon Gabi posted a long message on her personal account saying, "On the 30th, I shared my recent situation with a few photos."
That day, Moon Gabi said, "They were ordinary daily photos of a mother and son, photos showing the child, but I have not disclosed any photos or videos that reveal my child's face anywhere."
Moon Gabi said, "Nevertheless, an account completely unrelated to me used the photos I posted without my consent and illegally produced and posted them as if I had revealed my child's face and left interview-like official remarks."
She added, "The images of me and my child in that video and the wording added beneath are clearly false and the AI (artificial intelligence) composite video was produced without authorization using the original photos."
Moon Gabi added, "Please refrain from actions that violate the law by distorting the daily life of a mother and child, including false photos/videos that are not the child's real appearance. I ask you to stop."
Earlier, at the end of last month, Moon Gabi revealed an out-of-wedlock child born with Jung Woo-sung and then shared her recent situation on social media 11 months later. The released photos showed ordinary daily life with her son. Moon Gabi matched outfits with her son and spent peaceful time walking on the beach and on grass. She carefully protected his face by covering it with a hat or photographing only his back.
However, some malicious comments poured in on the post, and in some quarters, AI-manipulated videos using the photos spread, causing harm. In the end, Moon Gabi asked people to stop these illegal acts by posting directly.
