"Good Partner" season 2 is being produced, and with actress Jang Nara at the center, Nam Ji-hyun and Kim Jun-han are leaving while Kim Hye-yoon and P.O. (Pyo Ji-hoon) are being mentioned, suggesting a new lineup will be formed.
On the 5th, part of the cast lineup for SBS's new drama "Good Partner" season 2 was mentioned. Jang Nara, who played a central role since season 1, will appear in season 2, while Nam Ji-hyun and Kim Jun-han are leaving, P.O. is staying, and Kim Hye-yoon is being newly added.
"Good Partner" is a drama that depicts the cold and warm human courtroom office story of star divorce lawyer Cha Eun-gyeong (played by Jang Nara), for whom divorce is a vocation, and rookie lawyer Han Yu-ri (played by Nam Ji-hyun), who is experiencing divorce for the first time. It aired as a 16-episode series from July to September last year and received praise, reaching a peak viewership rating of 17.7%.
In particular, "Good Partner" was praised for having writer Choi Yu-na, a practicing divorce lawyer, base episodes on cases she experienced in the field and unfold various stories centered on divorce specialist star lawyer Cha Eun-gyeong. Moreover, Jang Nara set aside her distinctive youthful and lovable image and transformed into a steel-willed divorce specialist who delivered catharsis by resolving everything from her own divorce caused by her husband's infidelity to clients' divorces, earning great affection.
On the strength of this, season 2 was confirmed in April, raising fans' expectations. However, changes are expected among the characters. First, Jang Nara will continue as Cha Eun-gyeong through season 2. But Han Yu-ri, who showed a growth story alongside Cha Eun-gyeong, and Kim Jun-han, who played Cha Eun-gyeong's aide Jung Woo-jin, will leave in season 2.
Meanwhile, P.O., who played Jeon Eun-ho in season 1, is reported to be reviewing a return for season 2, and Kim Hye-yoon is being mentioned as a new character. Regarding this, artist company Artist Company, the agency for Kim Hye-yoon, P.O. and Kim Jun-han, issued an official statement saying, "Kim Hye-yoon and P.O. have been offered roles and are reviewing them. Kim Jun-han will not appear."
Given the show's characteristic of featuring various clients, cases and lawyers, diverse casting beyond these is expected. Attention is focused on the direction of "Good Partner 2." It is scheduled to air in 2026. <
