BOYNEXTDOOR (BOYNEXTDOOR) has entered the U.S. Billboard main album chart for the fifth consecutive time.
On the 4th, U.S. music outlet Billboard said on its official SNS that BOYNEXTDOOR (Seongho, Liu, Myeong Jaehyeon, Taesan, I-han, Unhak)'s mini 5th album "The Action" ranked 40th on the main album chart, the "Billboard 200" (Nov. 8). This is 22 places higher than the previous release "No Genre" (62).
With this, BOYNEXTDOOR succeeded in entering the "Billboard 200" for five consecutive releases following mini 1st album "WHY.." (162), mini 2nd album "HOW?" (93), mini 3rd album "19.99" (40) and mini 4th album "No Genre" (62). This is the only record among K-pop groups that debuted at the same time, showing the team's high global popularity.
BOYNEXTDOOR is riding a wave of success with this album. "The Action" recorded first-week sales (the week after release) of 1,041,802 copies on the Hanteo Chart, achieving three consecutive million-selling releases. In addition, it topped the latest weekly album charts on Hanteo Chart (tracking period: Oct. 20-26) and Circle Chart (tracking period: Oct. 19-25), and dominated Korea Apple Music's "Top Albums" from Oct. 21 to 27. In Japan, it showed a strong presence locally by ranking second on Billboard Japan's "Top Album Sales" (tracking period: Oct. 20-26) and second on Oricon's "Weekly Album Ranking" and "Weekly Combined Album Ranking" for the same tracking period.
The title track "Hollywood Action" entered Melon's daily and weekly charts at 36 and 21 respectively, marking the group's highest chart positions. It stood at 19 on the latest weekly chart (tracking period: Oct. 27-Nov. 2), continuing a steady rise. In addition, it ranked sixth on Japan's major music site Line Music's latest "Weekly Song Top 100" (tracking period: Oct. 22-28). On China's largest music streaming platform QQ Music's "New Song Chart," it remained on the chart from Oct. 21 to Nov. 3, showing love in the global music market.
Meanwhile, BOYNEXTDOOR will perform on the first day of the "2025 MAMA AWARDS" held at the Kai Tak Stadium, Hong Kong's largest venue, on Nov. 28-29. From Dec. 27 to 31, they will appear on the first-day lineup of Japan's largest year-end festival held at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo, "COUNTDOWN JAPAN 25/26".
