Group EXO member and actor Doh Kyung Soo and actor Lee Kwang Soo reunited with producer Na Young Seok as leads of the new drama The Manipulated.
On the 4th, a representative for the Disney+ new series The Manipulated told OSEN, "Actors Ji Chang Wook, Doh Kyung Soo, Lee Kwang Soo and Cho Yoon Seo from The Manipulated will appear on Channel Sipo-ya's 'Wagle Wagle' to promote the work. Filming is complete and it is scheduled to be released soon," the official statement said.
The Manipulated is an action drama that tells the story of Tae Jung (Ji Chang Wook), who was wrongfully caught up in a heinous crime and imprisoned, discovering that everything was planned by Yo Han (Doh Kyung Soo). The drama has raised expectations among drama fans for Doh Kyung Soo's first villain role, the meeting of Ji Chang Wook and Doh Kyung Soo, and the appearance of longtime entertainment industry friends Lee Kwang Soo and Doh Kyung Soo in the same work.
'Wagle Wagle' is a YouTube program led by variety show star producer Na Young Seok. It is one of the contents on production company Egg Is Coming's YouTube channel Channel Sipo-ya, depicting actors who appear in new dramas and films freely talking while enjoying food.
Moreover, Doh Kyung Soo and Lee Kwang Soo formed a connection through Na Young Seok's other variety series GBRB. With GBRB currently airing followed by Kongkong Pangpang, their reunion as leads of The Manipulated rather than as variety show guests is expected to bring laughs.
The Manipulated will first release up to episode 4 on the 5th and will meet viewers with two episodes each Wednesday for a total of 12 episodes.
