Group EXO member and actor Doh Kyung Soo has become a free agent, and his former agency declined to comment on reports that it demanded maintaining 50% equity.
On the 4th, a Company Susu representative told OSEN that Doh Kyung Soo and the company decided not to renew their exclusive contract and that it recently expired.
Company Susu is a management company founded by Doh Kyung Soo together with CEO Nam Kyung Soo, a manager who worked with him when he left SM Entertainment after debuting with EXO in 2023. It has operated essentially like a one-person agency for Doh Kyung Soo.
However, after deciding not to renew the contract and its expiration, Doh Kyung Soo became a free agent. It is reported he is discussing new contracts with various agencies, since he can perform as a solo singer, participate in EXO activities and appear on variety shows as an actor.
Meanwhile, reports emerged that Doh Kyung Soo demanded the 50% equity he secured when Company Susu was established to be maintained even after the contract expired. Company Susu said, Doh Kyung Soo does hold 50% of the company's equity. However, we cannot confirm whether he requested that it be maintained. We ask for your understanding, and the company declined to comment further.
Meanwhile, Doh Kyung Soo will appear in the new Disney+ series The Manipulated, which is released on the 5th. He is also preparing for the encore stage of his solo concert scheduled for December.
