"HYBE global group" &TEAM released a surprise music video for the Korean mini album 1st EP Back to Life track Lunatic at 6 p.m. on the 3rd.
The Lunatic music video opens with the nine members (Ui-ju, Huma, K, Nicholas, Yuma, Jo, Harua, Taki, Maki) performing an intense synchronized dance as if training. Their performance is elastic, dynamic and energetic, with refined lines and a hip groove that steal the show.
The stage, which evokes a cave and moves through a press room and a training room to the climax in the ring, vividly reveals &TEAM's "wolf DNA." Even after the stage collapses from explosive, uncontrollable energy, the members proudly keep their gaze fixed upward, symbolizing &TEAM's spirit of challenge.
"Lunatic" is a song that layers a lively melody over a funky hip-hop beat and captures &TEAM's firm determination to use any hardship as a stepping stone for growth. The song title evokes both lunatic and lunar, expressing the instinct of wolves awakened under the full moon. The music video also embodies &TEAM's daring to trust their instincts and run to the end.
On Oct. 28 the group released the Korean mini album 1st EP Back to Life and landed on the K-pop mainstream, and &TEAM has continued its relentless run. Back to Life sold 1.13 million copies on its first day (Oct. 28), reaching No. 1 on the Hanteo Chart daily album chart, and all six tracks on the album entered Melon's Hot 100 (as of 30 days after release).
The music video for the album's title track, Back to Life, is also receiving great love from global music fans. The Back to Life music video surpassed 10 million views one day after its pre-release on the 27th and exceeded 30 million views in five days.
The music video dramatically depicts the members' explosions of suppressed emotions, salvation and moments of awakening, leaving a deep impression. The intense rock-hip-hop sound and performance harmonize, and critics say it effectively conveys the nine members' message of unity and rebirth.
