With the comeback of TVXQ! member Yunho (belonging to SME) just one day away, anticipation for his first full-length album I-KNOW is growing.
# "Fake & documentary"…the true "me" story shown through two worlds
The first full-length album I-KNOW sincerely captures Yunho's process of understanding and growing his "self" as both an artist and a human, and under the "fake & documentary" concept, songs that express one theme from the two perspectives of "fake" and "documentary" are paired lyrically, making it more than enough to savor Yunho's multi-layered musical world.
The title track "Stretch" is a pop song featuring striking electronic sounds, with vocals that unfold almost in a recitative style creating a contrasting, unique tension, and its lyrics, which candidly convey inner feelings and meanings about dance and the stage, pair with the pre-released double title track "Body Language."
In addition, the album contains a total of 10 tracks, starting with the powerful intro "Set In Stone," followed by "Body Language," which carries the message of becoming one through dance; "Spotlight2," a sequel to a track from his third mini album; "Waterfalls (Feat. KAI)," featuring EXO's Kai on vocals; "Leader," which sings humorous yet sincere feelings toward the leader; "Premium (Feat. MINNIE)," which showcases vocal chemistry with (G)I-DLE's Minnie; "Fever," a song of faith in oneself; "Let You Go," with a free vibe; and finally the new jack swing outro "이륙 (26 Take-off)," all of which are expected to receive a good response.
# worldview expanded through content…"Fake & documentary" continuing through trailers, teaser images and music videos
The various content that visually implements the album's "fake & documentary" concept also draws attention. First, before full-fledged teasing, Yunho released two trailer videos, foreshadowing the expanded worldview from his previous work "Reality Show." In the subsequently released teaser images, he received strong responses by expressing high-quality visuals ranging from Yunho's natural free self to various characters as an artist and the self that manifests between them.
Also, at 12 a.m. today (4th) the title track "Stretch" music video teaser opened on the YouTube SMTOWN channel and others, drawing attention with dynamic performances by Yunho and dancers set against an intense atmosphere. In particular, this music video captures Yunho's story of confronting his inner shadow and falling into confusion with tense direction, and it is connected to the double title track "Body Language" music video, which seems likely to deepen the album's narrative.
# "I-KNOW" project…online and offline events for fans to enjoy together
To commemorate his first full-length album release, Yunho prepared various events for fans to enjoy together. Today at Collabo House Dosan in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, a listening session to preview the entire album was held a day before the comeback, where Yunho is scheduled to personally share behind-the-scenes stories and his sincerity contained in the album, and from Nov. 5 to 9 the exhibition U-KNOW, I-KNOW will be held, where visitors can vividly experience the album's jacket and unreleased photos in spaces decorated with different concepts in each zone.
And on the release day, on the 5th at 4:30 p.m., a countdown live will be held on YouTube and TikTok TVXQ! channels, among others, planning to communicate in real time with fans around the world through various segments related to the album.
The first full-length album I-KNOW will have its tracks released on various music sites at 6 p.m. on the 5th, and the album will also be released as a record that day.
