The full-scale showdown of Physical: Asia begins.
In Physical: Asia, the physical war in which eight Asian countries compete under their flags, the curtain rises today (4th) on the deathmatch "ball snatch," which will produce the first eliminated country. A deathmatch will be held in which only two of the four countries that lost the second quest shipwreck transport — Japan, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines — can survive.
The series' signature match, "ball snatch," is a best-of-five, first-to-three format that, as a national team competition, features both individual and doubles matches. The series' first doubles "ball snatch" will create even more intense contests. Even with size differences, technique can secure victory, making the unpredictable "ball snatch" expected to deliver explosive dopamine. Relentless athletes from relatively weaker teams who refuse to give up are expected to produce one of the most dramatic classic matches in the series' history. Above all, the mere prospect of a showdown between boxing legend Manny Pacquiao and Thai muay thai champion Superbon raises expectations.
Next, the third quest, the "team representative match," breaks out. Six countries — the two deathmatch survivors returned from hell and Korea, Mongolia, Türkiye and Australia, who advanced early to the third quest by winning the shipwreck transport — will fight in the physical war. The team representative match consists of four games, with each game's team representative participating. Each group is drawn by lot to face a life-or-death showdown.
The "team representative match" will increase game immersion with a massive quest imbued with Korea's traditional character. Four games challenging human limits are scheduled, from "long hang" to "stone statue endurance," "sack passing" and "pillar jumping." Each country's diverse physical abilities and strategies will determine the outcome. Points are awarded across four games with first place earning 3 points, second 2 points and third 1 point, and the country with the lowest total will be selected. A drama will be born in which it is impossible to predict which country will win.
Meanwhile, episodes 5–6 of Physical: Asia will meet global viewers exclusively on Netflix today (4th) at 5 p.m.
