Actor Lee Yi-kyung has left MBC's Hangout With Yoo, and his complete absence from the new preview has increased fans' disappointment.
On the 4th the official YouTube channel Hangout With Yoo released a preview for the episode airing on the 8th. The video title is '[Hangout preview] Though unpopular, a flashy lineup, candidates for the Insa-mo are gathering!' and Yoo Jae-suk introduced the show's glamorous guests for the "Insa-mo (meeting of unpopular people)" special, saying, "Someone whose fame does not match their popularity."
Thus Heo Seong-tae, Jung Joon-ha, Hwang Kwanghee, Kim Kwang-kyu, Jang Hang-jun, Two Cuck, Han Sang-jin, Heo Kyung-hwan, Choi Hong-man and others were listed to promise a rich lineup, but Lee Yi-kyung could not be found anywhere. Especially the video hashtags mention only Yoo Jae-suk, Haha and Joo Woo-jae, excluding Lee Yi-kyung's name, making his departure effectively official. In this regard, Hangout With Yoo's main director PD Kim Jin-yong told OSEN in an exclusive interview, "In this week's broadcast opening, Yoo Jae-suk, Haha and Joo Woo-jae will officially convey their farewell to Lee Yi-kyung. They will talk together before starting the 'In.sa.mo' project."
He added, "Although recording schedules are known to be every Thursday, they proceed flexibly depending on guests' and cast members' schedules. Lee Yi-kyung did his best despite being busy as an actor, but recent overlapping overseas engagements made it impossible to continue simultaneously," explaining the reason for his departure.
