2AM Jo Kwon shared news that his pet dog "Gaga" is battling cancer.
On the 2nd, Jo Kwon wrote on his social account, "Gaga, who seemed like she would be forever 1 year old, has already turned 12. As she entered old age, her eyes have turned white so her left eye is almost blind, her ears are gradually losing hearing, and her hair, once deep brown, has turned white, yet even as I write this she is looking at me from beside me," and he shared an update on Gaga.
He continued, "It seems Gaga has been in pain for some time. Her weight dropped rapidly and, foolishly unaware, her body only began sending signals to me now. During Chuseok a tumor was found in her small intestine, and we performed a major surgery opening her small, precious belly to remove the tumor. I hoped the tissue would not be malignant, but the biopsy showed otherwise, and she was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the small intestine, a diagnosis unfamiliar to me. I learned that adenocarcinoma of the small intestine is called small intestinal cancer," he said, expressing his sorrow.
Jo Kwon said, "Small intestinal cancer has a poor prognosis, so every day after musical practice and my schedule, I rush to be with our Gaga. I can't believe an especially small and precious Italian greyhound like Gaga could have a cancerous tumor. Each day is painful, but I am grateful to be able to pet her. Every day I change Gaga Beaver's potty pads, replace her water, give her food, take her for walks and spend time with her. As always, those moments feel even more precious and I am thankful for that," he revealed.
Because the cancer cells are metastasizing faster than expected, chemotherapy will begin soon. Jo Kwon said, "When chemotherapy starts, will Gaga be able to get through it well? My heart hurts and I am upset, but Gaga Beaver is like an angel to me, so as her guardian I will do my best to do everything I can," he said.
He added, "Gaga, with her round pretty eyes like Magic Candies that still look at me now, will think of the people and me who are in her memories. I hope the days that pass, which will never return, will be ordinary and without major problems. To those who love Gaga, I would be truly grateful if you could offer a little prayer for our angel Gaga."
