Group 2PM member and actor Ok Taecyeon is joining the ranks of married men. The bride-to-be was the 'Lover in Paris' with whom he had a five-year public relationship.
Ok Taecyeon's agency, 51k, said on the 1st, "Ok Taecyeon promised to share his life with someone he has been seeing for a long time. The wedding will be held privately next spring in a location in Seoul, with only both families, relatives and close acquaintances invited," in an official statement.
Later, Ok Taecyeon posted a long handwritten letter on his SNS and personally announced the marriage to fans. Ok Taecyeon said, "I promised to spend my life with one person who has believed in me for a long time. We will be a steadfast presence for each other and walk through our future lives together," announcing the marriage.
Ok Taecyeon also said, "I sincerely thank everyone who has supported me with a constant heart until I am who I am today. You don't know how much your love and support have given me strength that words cannot express," and added, "I will continue to do my best to repay the love and trust you have given me as a member of 2PM, as an actor, and as your Taecyeon."
Ok Taecyeon's bride-to-be is the partner with whom he acknowledged his first public relationship after debuting in 2020. Ok Taecyeon nurtured their love through a public relationship for more than five years. Last December, they drew attention when they were spotted walking arm in arm and enjoying a date in Sinsa-dong, Seoul. At that time, the two enjoyed their date without covering their faces with hats or masks.
Meanwhile, in February there was also interest when rumors of an impending marriage surfaced. The marriage speculation arose after snap photos of Ok Taecyeon and his girlfriend taken in Paris, France, were posted on an online community.
In particular, in the photos Ok Taecyeon was photographed kneeling and offering a ring to his girlfriend with the Eiffel Tower in the background, prompting speculation that he had proposed. As the face of the non-celebrity girlfriend was also exposed and attracted significant attention, the photography company ultimately issued an official apology.
