Comedian-turned-YouTuber Im Lara mentioned the type of powerful painkiller used during her cesarean section, following her experience of needing a blood transfusion due to excessive bleeding after delivering twins.
On the afternoon of the 2nd, the YouTube channel "enjoycouple" released a video titled Unbearable C-section pain… the first meeting with my babies.
Im Lara, who received an emergency blood transfusion immediately after the cesarean section because of excessive bleeding, still showed difficulty recovering the next day.
While eating, Im Lara said, "I lost so much blood that I had a transfusion yesterday. Even after the transfusion, my (blood) levels didn't go up at all. I'm still dizzy," complaining of anemia symptoms and lightheadedness.
Im Lara went on to describe the level of pain experienced after the cesarean section and revealed that the painkiller she received contained fentanyl. Im Lara said, "If this (cesarean) is so painful, this is the only thing that can reduce it. It's for treatment," suggesting the magnitude of the pain the mother endured.
Despite extreme pain and anemia, Im Lara and her husband Son Min-su went to see their twin babies, La-ki and Ddu-ki, for the first time. The couple could not take their eyes off the very small babies, repeatedly expressing amazement. Looking at the babies, Im Lara could not contain her overwhelming emotions and wiped away tears.
