Lee Jae-wook and Choi Sung-eun reunite after two years.
Today (the 1st) at 9:20 p.m., KBS 2TV's new Saturday-Sunday miniseries Last Summer (directed by Min Yeon-hong, written by Jeon Yu-ri) premieres with episode 1, in which the unwelcome "summer visitor" Baek Do-ha (played by Lee Jae-wook) appears to Song Ha-gyeong (played by Choi Sung-eun) after two years.
In tonight's first broadcast, Do-ha returns to the 'Patam-myeon' peanut house where he spent every summer vacation as a child. His arrival sends Song Ha-gyeong's routine—she has been childhood friends with him for 17 years but had no contact for two years—into turmoil. Facing Do-ha, Ha-gyeong gradually recalls memories she had forgotten, cannot hide her discomfort and soon switches to an adversarial mode.
Meanwhile, although the two engage in sharp exchanges, they also unexpectedly show fresh, childish moments as if they have returned to their youth, which will please viewers. It raises curiosity about what story is hidden between the two people who share 17 years.
Meanwhile, Do-ha and Ha-gyeong clash fiercely over the "fence removal project." The fence removal project is a project Ha-gyeong has been promoting with much effort. But Do-ha's sudden appearance completely disrupts Ha-gyeong's plans, and her anger toward him grows even stronger.
Their attitudes toward each other add dramatic interest. Ha-gyeong openly expresses genuine annoyance and anger toward Do-ha, while Do-ha looks at her as if he finds her cute. Their contrasting attitudes further arouse curiosity among home viewers and heighten anticipation for the broadcast.
