Kim Ga-eun and Yoon Seon-woo said their first impressions were not favorable.
On the 1st, a new video was posted on Roy Kim's YouTube channel titled Roy Kim's "Dali Proposal Lab" with Yoon Seon-woo X Kim Ga-eun.
That day, Roy Kim's team watched a video of Kim Ga-eun proposing to Yoon Seon-woo, then directly sent Yoon Seon-woo a DM (direct message) proposing to prepare a "reply proposal." Yoon Seon-woo agreed, shared contact information, and Roy Kim and Yoon Seon-woo met first to begin planning the proposal.
Yoon Seon-woo said with a laugh, "The wedding is on Oct. 26. Almost all the preparations are finished. Except the proposal." Roy Kim asked, "But did you imagine my wife would be the one to propose first?" Yoon Seon-woo said, "I really didn't. I was surprised too," and revealed that Kim Ga-eun was waiting to propose.
Yoon Seon-woo said, "If it had gone according to plan, it should have happened last week, and I had prepared for it. I was going to play it on TV like an interview video when I was alone, but it didn't feel right. So I thought if I did it that way I'd be criticized for life, so I scrapped it."
Before the full preparations, they contacted a wedding planner to get Kim Ga-eun out, and invited Kim Ga-eun to the proposal venue under the pretext of a magazine interview. Kim Ga-eun opened up about her first meeting with Yoon Seon-woo, saying, "From the first impression, it wasn't that I liked him at all. He seemed very proper, very kind and a little nice-looking."
Yoon Seon-woo felt the same. He recalled in his meeting with Roy Kim, "My first impression wasn't that good. She seemed a bit prim, too mischievous, and it gave me a bad feeling."
Kim Ga-eun said, "He also tends to be shy, so I thought, 'Oh, this might be a little boring,'" and Yoon Seon-woo confessed, "She loves playing pranks, so she hid my shoes, hid my phone and didn't give them back for eight hours."
