Group 2PM member and actor Ok Taecyeon announced his marriage to fans in a handwritten letter.
Ok Taecyeon posted a long handwritten letter on his social media on the 1st, opening with, "I picked up a pen because I wanted to be the first to tell the fans who have always cared for and supported me about my news."
He added, "It has already been 19 years since debuting with 2PM. From the program 'Superstar Survival' when I was 19 years old until now, you have always been with me for a long time, and I was able to come this far thanks to you. I thought it was my duty to be the first to share my news with those who have always cared for and supported me," conveying his thanks to fans.
Ok Taecyeon announced directly that he has promised to spend his life with someone who has believed in him for a long time, saying, "We will be a strong presence for each other and walk through life together," revealing his marriage to a girlfriend with whom he has nurtured love for five years.
He also conveyed his sincerity, saying, "I sincerely thank everyone who has supported me with the same heart until I became who I am today. I don't know how to express in words how much your love and support have been a great strength to me. I will continue to do my best to repay the love and trust you have given me as a member of 2PM, as an actor, and as your Taecyeon."
Ok Taecyeon is scheduled to hold a private wedding next spring at a location in Seoul with the girlfriend he has been publicly dating since 2020.
