tvN "Typhoon Family" Lee Junho and ruthless loan shark Lee Jae-gyun clash again.
In the previous episode of the tvN weekend drama Typhoon Family (directed by Lee Na-jung and Kim Dong-hwi; written by Jang Hyun; planned by Studio Dragon; produced by Imaginus, Studio PIC and Tris Studio), the ill fate between Kang Tae-poong (Lee Junho) and ruthless loan shark Ryu Hee-gyu (Lee Jae-gyun) began. Tae-poong even had the 500 safety shoes he had secured by paying an advance to Shubak seized by Ryu Hee-gyu, and when Ryu offered to return the goods if Tae-poong added another 5 million won, he gathered the money with difficulty and headed to Busan. But the reality he faced there was brutal. Shubak boss Park Yoon-chul (Jin Sun-kyu), who had borrowed from Ryu Hee-gyu, could not repay the loan and lay bleeding, drifting between life and death.
Having been taught by his late father (Sung Dong-il) that "people are more fragrant than flowers and more valuable than money," Tae-poong felt rage rising from his core when he saw Yoon-chul's life threatened over money. He unleashed the reckless bravado of a company man, saying he would sell 7,000 safety shoes to return 100 million won. It may have seemed reckless, but for Tae-poong it was a choice to protect people over money and the conviction of a company man who believed in the value of the goods he had seen with his own eyes.
Afterward, Tae-poong achieved a miraculous reversal by closing an export contract for safety shoes through active video marketing, but he was pushed into crisis again after being blacklisted by shipping companies due to the obstruction by director Pyo Hyun-jun (Mu Jin-seong). With only two days until departure, there was far too little time to find an alternate ship. While walking through the Busan fish market, Tae-poong saw a fish that had come from the Pacific and got a flash of inspiration. He planned to use an ocean-going fishing vessel to ship the goods.
As curiosity grows about how this idea will be executed, a pre-released still captures a tense moment on the ship in which Ryu Hee-gyu grabs Tae-poong's collar roughly, threatening him while Tae-poong is bound. Even in the perilous situation where one more step could send him into the raging waves, Tae-poong's gaze does not waver. It is a moment expected to fire up viewers again with the spirit of a company man who refuses to give up on people, goods or convictions.
The production team said, "Please watch to see whether Kang Tae-poong can overcome Ryu Hee-gyu's threats and numerous obstructive schemes to successfully complete Shubak's export, and what results his company-man courage and decisiveness will produce amid extreme crisis."
