Actor Jang Dong-ju suddenly posted an apology on social media (SNS), prompting a flood of concern from fans.
On the 31st, Jang Dong-ju left a short message saying "I'm sorry" on Instagram along with a black background image. There were no other explanations, such as the reason for the apology or the party to whom it was directed.
His agency Nexus ENM said it is "checking the situation." According to one outlet, Jang Dong-ju is currently out of contact.
Jang Dong-ju debuted with the drama "School 2017." In 2020, in the film "Honest Candidate," he appeared as the son of Joo Sang-sook (played by Ra Mi-ran), and he also gave strong performances in the film "Handsome Guys" and the Netflix original series "Trigger."
He signed an exclusive contract with the talent agency Nexus ENM on Mar. 31. Actor Song Ji-hyo is also with the company. He is set to appear in the SBS drama "I Am Human From Today," slated for release next year.
In 2021, Jang Dong-ju made headlines after witnessing a drunk-driving hit-and-run involving a motorcycle from a Chinese restaurant and personally apprehending the perpetrator.
