Director and creator Jiwoo has decided to officially conclude the journey of the fashion brand Chamiz that she had been running.
Director Jiwoo recently posted on social media expressing her affectionate and regretful feelings about the brand she had run sincerely for about two years.
She said, "I have heavy news to share with you. Chamiz is a brand I ran sincerely for more than two years, embodying 10 years of experience and taste that I accumulated through the medium of clothing," and expressed gratitude for the affection shown to the brand.
She added, "However, amid rapidly changing market trends and the practical conditions surrounding brand operations, there were constant trial-and-error, and after long consideration we decided at this point to conclude Chamiz's journey."
She also said, "Because I know how precious and meaningful this long period was to me, during which I communicated through the language of clothing and showed various styles, making this decision was by no means easy. Many emotions crossed and the regret is great," conveying how weighty the decision to end the brand was.
Director Jiwoo also said, "Above all, because there were customers who supported and walked with me across the apparel industry I have operated for the past 10 years, I was able to keep trying without constant fear during that time," expressing gratitude to those who cherished the brand.
Finally she hinted at future plans, saying, "Now that I am closing one chapter, as a brand director and creator I want to think more deeply about better directions and ways that can last longer. I would appreciate it if you watch over my next journey as well. Thank you sincerely for warmly supporting and being with Chamiz until now."
However, she also said she would "consider better directions and ways to last longer as a creator," leaving open the possibility that a new brand or a project in a different form could emerge.
