Xikers' Jeonghun expressed joy about the group's comeback as a full lineup for the second time after he halted activities due to an injury.
Recently, Xikers (minjae, junmin, sumin, jinsik, hyunwoo, jeonghun, saeun, yujun, hunter, yechan) held a comeback interview at a cafe in Yongsan District, Seoul, ahead of the release of their sixth mini album House of Tricky: Wrecking the House (HOUSE OF TRICKY : WRECKING THE HOUSE).
House of Tricky: Wrecking the House is the concluding installment that wraps up Xikers' House of Tricky universe, which they have carried on since their debut for two years and seven months. It depicts the process of the ten Xikers, who have become blue flames, toppling the "Tricky House" and venturing out into the world. The title track is "Superpower (SUPERPOWER) (Peak)," a song expressing the group's determination to transcend limits with Xikers' unique energy, unconstrained by existing molds.
Member Sumin, asked about her feelings ahead of the comeback, said, "We're making a comeback after seven months. It was hard because we missed our fans for seven months. I was itching to show this great song quickly; my mouth tingled and my whole body felt restless. It's a good song, so we'd be grateful if you listen to it a lot. The music video came out well and the parts were well developed, so I hope you give it lots of love."
Leader Minjae said, "We experienced a lot over the seven months. We went on tour, and, thankfully, we also performed an opening stage at ATEEZ's senior concert. We performed on several big stages and attended college festivals, and I think we grew while interacting with many people. As you can feel from the title, this album feels energetic, like we're ready to push forward at any moment. I'm excited and looking forward to showing how much we've grown after gaining a lot of experience points over the seven months, so we prepared for the comeback with anticipation."
In particular, Jeonghun was unable to participate in activities for two years after debut because of an anterior cruciate ligament tear. Amid that, following the fifth mini album, this is once again a comeback in full lineup, and he said, "This is the second comeback since the last one. Even during the period when I wasn't promoting, I communicated quite a bit with the fans. They kept saying, 'Come back soon' and 'We want to see the next song.' I was preparing this in advance but couldn't tell you, so I felt bad, but I'm glad it's finally being revealed."
Meanwhile, Xikers' sixth mini album HOUSE OF TRICKY : WRECKING THE HOUSE will be released at 1 p.m. on the 31st. (Interview part 2 to follow.)<
