"I am SOLO, love continues after that" first impression choices, the minds of male and female participants that changed after introductions swirled chaotically.
On the 30th episode of ENA, SBS Plus variety show "I am SOLO, love continues after that" (hereafter "na solsagye") the first impression selections were made. By the women's choices, Gukhwa, Jangmi, and Yongdam chose 27th-term Yeongsik. His tall appearance and soft personality seemed to have appealed to the female participants.
24th-term Yeongsik complained that despite making the women laugh with "Look at this, I do all the tricks!" he received no first impression selections at all. 24th-term Yeongsu said, "You might be more troubled," expressing envy toward 27th-term Yeongsik. 18th-term Yeongcheol observed carefully, saying, "I don't think he'll be troubled. Yeongsik seemed to like exactly one person."
27th-term Yeongsik laughed it off, saying, "I wouldn't be troubled. And we actually already appeared on the show. You never know. The show already built my image so well."
However, when introductions began, their occupations and residences came up. In particular, 27th-term Yeongsik was a Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF) official whose job requires rotational assignments. He currently lives in Incheon, but he did not know where he would be assigned after a year and a half.
Jangmi received the most first impression votes from the male participants but showed vigor during her introduction. Jangmi said, "I was born in 1991, and I live in Seoul. I majored in dance and graduated at the top of my class from an arts high school in dance. I entered Hanyang University on a dance scholarship. Based on dance, I currently work as a Pilates instructor," adding, "The reason I came to Solo Guesthouse is that I wanted to pour my heart into it sincerely, get hurt, and after being somewhat refined be able to accept a partner. I want to focus on my feelings for a few days and look at potential partners."
The men were surprised by her distinctive speech and momentum, but Jangmi said, "My ideal type is I like masculine styles. At work I speak plainly and directly. To avoid misunderstandings when communicating, you have to speak right away. I'm looking for a man who will make me into someone who can rely on him." Her lovable aegyo and confidence were the highlights.
Yongdam boasted an unexpected background. Yongdam said, "I was born in 1992 and I am a new drug development researcher at a pharmaceutical venture company in Gyeonggi Province. I came to Korea around last September, about a year ago," and revealed that he earned a master's and a doctorate in Europe. He said he had grown tired of partners abroad who demanded that he take responsibility in relationships.
The participants' feelings changed after introductions. In particular, 27th-term Yeongsik's rotational assignments were a concern. Jangmi said, "Almost none of the men are in the Seoul metropolitan area," and added firmly, "Honestly, what's harder than long distance is rotational work. It's too hard when raising kids." Tulip said, "Right. Kids would have to keep changing schools," showing that even long distance would be difficult, and Yongdam, who had lived in several European locations, said, "It would be really bad for children's education," seemingly reflecting his own experience.
The men also showed worried expressions, saying, "Aren't all the women in Seoul?"
