(Continuing from interview ②) Xikers members expressed their respect for their label seniors ATEEZ.
Recently Xikers (xikers/Minjae, Junmin, Sumin, Jinsik, Hyunwoo, Junghun, Se-eun, Yujun, Hunter, Yechan) held a comeback interview at a cafe in Yongsan District, Seoul, ahead of the release of their sixth mini album HOUSE OF TRICKY : WRECKING THE HOUSE.
House of Tricky : Wrecking the House is the finale of the "House of Tricky" series, the worldview Xikers has carried since their debut for two years and seven months. It depicts the process of the ten Xikers who became blue flames toppling the "Tricky House" and stepping out into the world. The title track is SUPERPOWER (Peak), a song expressing their determination to break limits with Xikers' own energy, unconstrained by existing molds.
Earlier, Xikers attended the Los Angeles and Arlington shows of ATEEZ 2025 World Tour 'In Your Fantasy' and performed as the opening act in the United States in August.
When asked about that impression, Yujun said, "Before debut we also stood on opening stages at seniors' concerts. Back then I was very nervous and excited with the thought of doing my best. This time I approached it thinking we should add Xikers' charm and our performance for ATEEZ fans, so I worked hard. The stage was bigger than before so I was more nervous, but the members all together hyped each other up and we finished well."
Asked what feedback they received from ATEEZ, Se-eun said, "After the show in LA there was time to eat together. They told us we did the 'Iconic' stage so well, which made me proud. They not only attended that show but also came to our concert. They said they were greatly motivated after seeing our stage. We learn a lot from our seniors, and hearing kind words and praise from people like them gave us a lot of strength and motivation to work harder."
Jinsik expressed gratitude, saying, "While we were eating together, senior Jongho gave Hyunwoo and me advice. Senior Jongho told us, 'You have important parts in the team, so be more ambitious and keep practicing. Don't be obsessed with success; if you keep at it consistently, rewards will follow.' A senior who says things like that is admirable and was a great source of motivation."
Sumin also said, "The seniors did eight solo stages for the first time. It made me want to see solo stages from all ten members as well. Among them, senior Mingi's stage left a strong impression on me. I was so moved that I recorded it on my phone during the performance. I remember watching the video and simulating it in my head while working on song production."
Hunter said, "The seniors performed at a stadium in front of nearly 60,000 people. If it were me I would have been nervous and wanted to move the audience somehow, to reach their hearts, but I realized that if you simply enjoy the stage, the audience will enjoy it with you and it resonates more. I gained a mindset to enjoy performances more when I do concerts or stages in the future."
Meanwhile, Xikers' sixth mini album HOUSE OF TRICKY : WRECKING THE HOUSE will be released at 1 p.m. on the 31st.
