Lee Jae-wook and Choi Seong-eun's sweet and bittersweet remodeling romance is one day away.
The new KBS 2TV Saturday-Sunday miniseries Last Summer, directed by Min Yeon-hong and written by Jeon Yu-ri, which will air at 9:20 p.m. on Nov. 1 and 2, begins its full story in episodes 1 and 2 with Baek Do-ha (played by Lee Jae-wook), who lived in the United States and suddenly returned to Pattan-myeon, disrupting the daily life of Pattan-myeon office worker Song Ha-gyeong (played by Choi Seong-eun), and lawyer Seo Su-hyeok (played by Kim Gun-woo), who becomes entangled with them.
In this episode an unexpected figure appears before Ha-gyeong, who is going about her usual routine. It is Do-ha, a childhood friend of 17 years who, after an incident with Ha-gyeong two years ago, became closer to being worse than strangers, returning to Pattan-myeon.
In the released stills, Do-ha and Ha-gyeong, reunited after two years, wear completely opposite expressions, adding intrigue. Unlike Do-ha's faint smile at meeting a 17-year friend, Ha-gyeong scowls as if seeing someone she cannot bear to look at, heightening tension. Viewers will be curious about why Do-ha returned to Pattan-myeon and how the two people's strained relationship will affect future developments.
Meanwhile, Ha-gyeong and Do-ha proceed to litigation over a peanut house. As a result, she meets Do-ha's lawyer Su-hyeok, and the sharp sparring between the two from the start captures attention. Among this, Su-hyeok says his meeting with Ha-gyeong is not the first, drawing interest to their hidden backstory.
The Last Summer production team said, "In episodes 1 and 2, Do-ha, who became distant from Ha-gyeong because of what happened two years ago, appears before Ha-gyeong, who wants to leave Pattan-myeon, shaking up her daily life. Please pay attention to how their relationship unfolds and what story will be drawn by Do-ha, Ha-gyeong and the lawyer Su-hyeok who becomes entangled with them."
