The group BABYMONSTER continues its global rise as it is consecutively listed on year-end music festivals representing Korea and Japan.
On the 31st, YG Entertainment said BABYMONSTER has confirmed it will perform live on Nov. 13 at Osaka-jō Hall in Osaka for Yomiuri TV's year-end special music program Best Hit Song Festival 2025.
The Best Hit Song Festival is a long-standing year-end music program counted among the most prestigious alongside Kohaku Uta Gassen and the FNS Music Festival. BABYMONSTER's appearance at a Japanese year-end music festival is their first and marks the only K-pop artist included on this year's lineup, drawing attention. Through this main stage they are expected to further solidify their influence in the local market.
Earlier, BABYMONSTER also confirmed appearances at major domestic year-end shows such as Mnet's 2025 MAMA Awards and SBS's 2025 Gayo Daejeon. Having received praise for solid live vocals and overwhelming performances at every stage, they are expected to captivate global fans with the energy befitting a "performance powerhouse" at this year's year-end stages.
BABYMONSTER delivered an exceptional performance locally even before their official Japanese debut. From long runs on digital charts to appearances on terrestrial music shows, invitations to major music festivals and selection as global brand models, they have firmly established themselves as a representative fifth-generation girl group.
In particular, mini album 2 [WE GO UP] seized the No. 1 spot on Japan's Oricon album chart on its release day, and showed strength by sweeping the top ranks on major Japanese music charts such as iTunes, AWA and Rakuten Music. In addition, the title track "DRIP" from their first full-length album [DRIP] recently surpassed 100 million streams on Oricon, driving prolonged success.
At the '2025 BABYMONSTER 1st WORLD TOUR "HELLO MONSTERS" IN JAPAN' held in the first half of this year, they drew a total of 150,000 spectators, setting the record for the shortest period and largest audience in K-pop girl group history, proving their strong ticket power. Riding the passionate support of local fans, they will continue the momentum with the fan concerts BABYMONSTER [LOVE MONSTERS] JAPAN FAN CONCERT 2025 across four cities—starting Nov. 15 and 16 at Chiba's Lalaport Arena Tokyo Bay, followed by Aichi, Tokyo and Hyogo.
