American lawyer and broadcaster Seo Dong-ju said she won the bid for her newlywed home in Chang-dong, Dobong District, Seoul, at about 20% below market price through an auction, drawing attention.
Previously, Seo Dong-ju's remarriage to an entertainment industry worker four years her junior was revealed on June, and they chose the single-family dwelling as their newlywed home. The house is an old home built in the 1970s that was remodeled, and the interior area is about 20 to 21 pyeong by building area standards.
Seo Dong-ju explained, "At first it felt like a ruin, but when we saw it we had the feeling 'this is our home,'" and revealed the reason she jumped into the auction.
